Hygiene Concept
THE HIDDEN KEY TO EDUCATION
One of our main goals is to ensure that girls can attend school during their period and have the ability to maintain their personal hygiene at all times. Those who regularly attend their educational and sports activities are rewarded at the beginning of each month. They receive a pack of sanitary pads and a bar of soap. The same applies to boys, who receive a bar of soap. This creates a continuous motivation for the children and youths to take part in their afternoon activities, which will then benefit them through a win-win principle.
Our approach does not only focus on their immediate needs but also encourages to grow into commitment, routine and a sense of responsibility.
Currently, 80 children and youths benefit from our concept every month.
SUPPORT THE PROJECT
Girls without access to sanitary products will miss out on school, because it‘s almost impossible to leave the house. One week each month makes three months in a year, that most girls fail to attend school.
This often leads to them not completing the school year, which makes it much harder to graduate.
Our aim is to break that cycle and give more girls the opportunity to graduate and build the foundation for a brighter future.
One-time donations are helpful to buy the products they need on a monthly basis.
Monthly donations ensure a smooth running of the project and allow us to take more youths under our care.
Any given support goes beyond just providing products. It is an often unknown and unpopular part of access to education.
